Pete Morrill

Pete is a dynamic leader and, as both a youth pastor and camping director for Mt. Hermon's Kidder Creek Camp in Greenview, California for a combined 26 years, he offered hundreds of people life coaching and Rick Warren's "S.H.A.P.E" training amidst stunning backdrops of natural beauty. He professionally guides whitewater rafting trips, hunting and fishing expeditions, and more. He especially enjoys traveling with his wife in foreign lands. When it feels like your compass is broken, he will graciously, yet directly assist you in finding clarity and purpose in your life. His passion is challenging leaders to be change agents in the world. Pete's success as the owner of a thriving Labrador retriever breeding and training business also gives him a platform for sharing wisdom principles related to giving, saving money, getting out of debt, and planning for the future.

Julie Morrill

Pete's wife, Julie, is a professional life coach, ministry leader/coordinator, and writer. When it comes to life coaching, she will, in her gentle yet pragmatic and direct manner, ask you tough questions, listen carefully, inspire you to understand your calling and stay on the path to your destiny. Julie's other favorite pastimes are booking guest speakers to share their personal stories with small groups (especially on outdoor adventure trips) and meeting with other writers to encourage and inspire their creativity. She delights in adventure travel overseas with her husband, as well as with family and friends. She naturally gravitates to foreigners and loves getting to know them and learning about their unique cultures and customs.

Julie also works as a writer for G1Outdoors and the founder, Greg Weisman, was key in helping us start True North Adventures.

G1 Outdoors & Bayside Adventure Sports
Greg Weisman

True North Adventures is affiliated with Bayside Adventure Sports, a ministry of Bayside Church in Granite Bay, California, and G1 Outdoors, both of which were founded by Greg Weisman. We got connected with Greg because of our similar interests in the adventure activities and we love how we've been able to add our life coaching twist to being with people in the great outdoors. We love that Greg has taken his outdoor programs to more epic levels, like climbing Mt. Kilimanjaro, hiking the Inca Trail in Machu Picchu, and more so much more. We've enjoyed amazing trips with Bayside & G1 and we want to expand the vision to include more people and take you to more fun, beautiful and amazing destinations!

Snowboarder

Andy Warken

Andy Warken is a third-generation camp director, and he's currently the director of Kidder Creek Camp in Scott Valley (the same camp where Pete was the director for 20 years). Both Andy and his father and grandfather directed camps for Word of Life Ministries. Andy spent his early childhood on the mission field in Spain, and then his teenage years working at Word of Life Ranch in upstate New York.

After earning a Bachelor's degree in camp ministry in Virginia, Andy came away with a love for moving water and wilderness ministry, as well as an even greater love for his wife, Emily, whom he met doing “campy” things while they were students.

Andy served as the Director of Programming for multiple sites and various year-round ministries at Lake Geneva Youth Camp in Wisconsin, but he felt the tug back to a wilderness mountain setting where whitewater and horses were a part of the everyday scenery...and that place is beautiful Kidder Creek Camp in Greenview, CA.

Whether it's whitewater kayaking or rafting, mountain biking, or anything outdoors, you can find Andy (and his family) in the beauty of creation.
